Glencar’s Access Self Storage site at Bracknell has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence in its latest assessment by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme aims to improve the image of construction, with registered sites monitored regularly by independent assessors. The project scored an impressive 8 out of 9 points across each of the five areas of the report: care about appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and value the workforce.
“We are delighted to have been recognised by the CCS for our efforts at Bracknell” commented Glencar operations director Jason Bright. “Project manager Stuart Cowan and his team have done a fantastic job in demonstrating consideration for the community, general public and the environment, as well as the development of site welfare facilities.
“This accreditation reflects Glencar’s continued commitment to improving the image of our industry and providing the best working environments for our teams.”
Earlier this year, Glencar received a Silver Award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme for their recently completed Iron Mountain project in Canning Town, London.
The Bracknell scheme is a refurbishment project incorporating structural alterations to an existing building which is part self-storage and part offices. The project has recently been extended to include the construction of a new third floor and is now due for completion in October 2019.
