Glencar’s Clarnico Quay project in East London has achieved a Certificate of Excellence after being awarded a score of 41 out of 50 in its most recent Considerate Constructors Scheme inspection.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme aims to improve the image of construction, with registered sites monitored regularly by independent assessors against key criteria including care about appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety and value the workforce.

Clarnico Quay is located within the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London on an area of land that was previously used for car parking. The development consists of five blocks with one as an event space and the rest being a mixture of workspaces for small businesses, artists along with restaurants and cafés etc. There will also be public toilets and open communal space. The units are steel framed with industrial look cladding.

The CCS inspector commented “Overall, this has been two excellent site visits to this project with this fairly new contractor having policies and procedures in place across the criteria of the Scheme to achieve excellent results”.
