Glencar Construction is approaching the halfway point of the construction phase at their Clarnico Quay project in East London.

This exciting regeneration project for Make Shift will see the team deliver 65,768 sq ft of space across five blocks on a temporarily vacant plot of land on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park which will become creative studios, food and drink outlets and communal facilities.

Steel frames are now complete for two of the new buildings, with a third almost finished. A fourth will be started this week while roofing, cladding, glazing and doors can start being installed to the first two blocks.

The project will transform the 6,110 sq m site into a cluster of affordable workspaces for small businesses, artists and makers, including community event space, and food, drink and retail markets. It will also include public indoor and outdoor spaces and communal facilities for local people to use and enjoy. It is due for completion in May 2020.
