Glencar Construction is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a contract to complete the fit out of a 150,000 sq ft facility in Bristol for Ocado which will form part of a new robotic fulfilment centre using the Ocado Smart Platform.

The warehouse will be Ocado’s sixth in the UK and will be capable of handling more than 30,000 orders a week. Works will include extensive mezzanines, fridge and freezer sections as well as new offices. The project is the latest of several delivered by Glencar for the online retailer, with a significant rebuild also currently underway at its Andover CFC.

The Glencar team will be working with MBA Consulting Engineers, MAC Construction Consultants, EirEng Consulting Engineers and Keenan Lynch Architects, with the project due for completion at the end of July this year.

“We are really pleased to be kicking off the new year with such an exciting project win and the team is looking forward to working with Ocado again. It’s testament to the quality of the work which we have already completed to be selected again for such a key scheme” commented Glencar Construction Director Peter Goodman.
