Eddie McGillycuddy, Managing Director
Eddie graduated in 2002 with a degree in Construction Management. He joined McLaren Construction as an Assistant Engineer, working his way through the ranks to become Divisional Director, responsible for multiple schemes across various sectors with an annual turnover in excess of £120m.
Eddie spent time on the client side of project delivery whilst living in Sydney but on return to the UK returned to main contracting, primarily working on industrial and retail accounts. An industrial scheme specialist, Eddie has delivered well in excess of 10,000,000 sq ft of warehouse space for some of the UK’s leading retailers and developers. As co-founder of Glencar Construction, he continues to build on his excellent reputation in the sector.

Chris Gleave, Director
Chris spent the first 15 years of his career as a quantity surveyor, including stints at both Taylor Woodrow Construction and Jarvis Construction.
Joining McLaren Construction in 2005, he was promoted to Commercial Director in 2009 and was responsible for the Southern region’s commercial activities and a turnover in excess of £120m.
Chris has worked in almost all sectors including industrial, retail, commercial, residential, education, leisure, stadia, health and has extensive knowledge of many contract forms. As a co-founder of Glencar Construction, he has overall responsibility for the commercial aspects of the business and along with Eddie, takes a proactive and progressive stance on business leadership and strategy.

Tony Cornwell, Director
Prior to joining Glencar, Tony spent 8 years in a director role at specialist sub-contractor FK Group. Tony was responsible for leading the maintenance and refurbishment division (including overseeing multiple projects on live business parks and distribution centres for Asda, Pets at Home and B&Q among others) before moving to Dubai where he established a AED45m turnover Group office focusing on the industrial, cold store and refurbishment sectors.
Tony also spent 15 years at McLaren Construction and VolkerFitzpatrick in a commercial director role overseeing the South East region before joining FK in 2010.

Adam Clarry, Estimating Director
With wide-ranging experience across the building, rail and civil sectors, Adam has developed a specialism in tendering and estimating projects within the fast track and commercial sectors and now leads Glencar’s estimating function.
He brings a fresh perspective to any project and is an expert in producing alternative and cost effective solutions for all types of building from concept through to completion.
Prior to joining Glencar he held a senior estimating role at VolkerFitzpatrick where he handled tenders across a range of sectors and building types to the value of £50m. Adam has also spent time at Vinci Construction and Kier Southern.
