Glencar has completed the construction of three grade A industrial/logistics units totalling 338,000 sq ft for client Trammell Crow Company (TCC). This scheme in Milton Keynes, serves as an important first development for Trammell Crow Company, as it’s their first acquisition in Europe since entering the market.
The development comprises of three units of 221,500 sq ft, 71,000 sq ft and 45,500 sq ft with clear heights ranging from 12.5m to 15m. Each unit features an increased roof loading capacity to cater for photovoltaic arrays together with additional natural daylighting.
The specification also includes transformers and primary electrical frameworks sized for increased electric demand and reserves of power in addition to infrastructure suitable for electric vehicle charging. The internal floor slab has been designed to offer increased capacity for floor standing mezzanines and pick towers, and flexible office space will accommodate various different configurations.
In addition, the units are certified as BREEAM Excellent and provide efficiencies in natural and artificial lighting, heating, cooling and ventilation, water conservation and storage as well as the careful selection of environmentally friendly construction materials.
Construction began in July 2022 and took 43 weeks.
