Environment

In the context of an industry that has an adverse impact on our environment, we work in a sustainable manner, using our influence with our supply chains and indeed our customers to make informed decisions and use materials and ways of working which mitigate at every opportunity.

BREEAM Ratings

The size and operational significance of industrial and logistics facilities means they have the potential to make a significant impact on the overall carbon efficiency and environmental credentials of our customers.

We use BREEAM ratings (the world’s longest established method of assessing, rating, and certifying the sustainability of buildings) to assess our projects which have all received Very Good or Excellent ratings.

Sustainability

Our Sustainable Procurement Plan prioritises the use of resource efficient products and where feasible we seek to procure locally, providing opportunity for small and medium sized enterprises.

As many of our projects include demolition and refurbishment works, recycling of waste materials is key and targets for this are set at the outset of each project and continuously monitored against. We work with external consultants GoGreen in order to help ensure our waste management planning is aligned with the very best practice in environmental management.
